A vampire game is all the rage these days. First came the very long development period of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the Castlevania reboot. Then, right after that, came the success of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines. And earlier this month, another vampire game hit the internet, only this time it’s a multiplayer title called V Rising from Stunlock Studios. The development studio is brand new, but with their previous games, such as Bloodline Champions and Battlerite Royal, everyone might be interested in trying this new game.

V Rising: What Is The Game All About?

V Rising gives you the chance to play as a vampire who has awoken after centuries of slumber, only to find that their powers have been stripped away. You’ll need to rebuild your vampire empire from scratch and reclaim your rightful place of power while satisfying your thirst for blood. V Rising is a unique game that stands out from the crowd. While the basic premise may be familiar to fans of the genre, V Rising offers a unique and enjoyable experience that makes it worth checking out.

So, what makes V Rising so unique?

The game’s premise is quite simple: you get to play in an open-world server with other vampires, and your main goal is to get as strong as possible by completing quests. You have a map that shows dark forests as well as green villages. The game offers a new twist on the classic MMORPG experience by incorporating building mechanics. Players can own and customize their own castles, as well as additional purchase properties. There is also the added element of vampire hunters.

The V Rising is designed for multiplayer experiences. You can either play with your friends via private servers, join them on the public world servers, or go solo – the choice is yours. If you want, you can even create your own server. That said, this metric also gets a big plus. Also, the game looks visually stunning, despite having a top-down camera angle. It’s rare to see casting spells look this good, thanks to the next-generation graphics. Also, the gothic atmosphere definitely brings out the game’s overall appeal.

On the Downside of The Game…

One of the disadvantages of V Rising is how difficult it can be to progress unless you’re playing by yourself or with a group of close friends. In order to make meaningful progress and unlock more things, you need to follow the game’s objectives and defeat certain bosses. The game can be very punishing otherwise. Although it may not be as demanding as other games, you will always be lagging behind players who have too much free time or are hardcore survival game veterans.

Not having enough Greater Blood Essences could bring you consequences. One is getting stuck for too long at that particular part of the story (which is not fun for online players). After the early game, crafting a simple piece of high-tier equipment takes an excessively long time. Even with a more streamlined process to farm materials or with servants to help out, the grind is still too immense for the player.

Even on a PVE server, the experience is still quite linear. You’re pretty much forced to stick to the main objective, which is a shame when there’s so much freedom and exploration that could be had in this type of game.

Is V Rising Worth Playing?

The answer to that question is a resounding yes! The game is very much worth purchasing. V Rising’s multiplayer is insanely addictive. Progression is key in this game, so fans of MMORPGs and ARPGs will be hooked instantly. Some aspects of the game feel a bit incomplete; however, it is still worth downloading. You may not get the expected experience, but it is still worth checking out.
