Video games are often seen as a hobby that guys do to unwind after a long day of work or as a form of escapism. But there are some video games that are truly special. Games where the developer has truly aimed to make something great, with many people looking up to them, which go on to create an impact on how video games are viewed. One such game is The Riftbreaker – and we are doing this review to explore its wonder with you.

More About the Riftbreaker and its Gameplay

The Riftbreaker is a game that has been in development for a long time, but it is finally coming out this summer, and it’s awesome. This adventure-filled and strategic type of video game was developed by Exor Studios and is still freshly baked – this game was just recently released on October 14, 2021. This game is available o various gaming platforms such as PlayStation, Xbox One, Xbox Series as well as on Windows. Are you ready to get rift travel?

I like going on solo, especially on a plating video game. Well, you will be delighted with this video game. The Riftbreaker is solely a single-player type of game – so no need to expect a co-op or a multiplayer mode because it is not made with that type of mode. As with the gameplay, The Riftbreaker contains two basic elements:

  1. Base building – this is the part where you will be managing your resources, creating buildings, expanding, and defending your territory.

  2. Player Avatar – you will explore as well as fight with the character Mr. Riggs and Ashley.

From these main elements, you will now start your base, and of course, you need to create your building. Well, there are features that you can explore to start building your base. Make sure to open first the build menu to get going. Your mission is to make a rift going back to Earth, but of course, things will not be easy since your alien enemies will be destroying what you have just built. So, defense is important.

Things that We Like about The Riftbreaker

The Riftbreaker is an excellent game. It is one of the best strategy games we have played in years and one of the most visually impressive games we have ever seen. It uses a mix of real-time strategy and resource management to create a unique and immersive experience. It is a game that allows you to explore and learn its mechanics as you play and discover new strategies as you play through the campaign.

The story is strong, but it is the gameplay where this game shines. It is an ambitious game that is made by a veteran game designer that layers stunning visuals over an excellent gameplay mechanic. If you are into strategy games, you will love this game.

The Riftbreaker is indeed an intriguingly ambitious real-time strategy game that blends superb gameplay with attractive visuals.

On the Riftbreaker’s Downside

The Riftbreaker is a solid strategy game that gets lost in complexity. It starts out feeling linear, but it quickly expands into a fully-featured experience involving diplomacy, resource management, and special attacks that you need to watch out for.

Technical hiccups, menus are refusing to work, on-screen cursors freezing, and critical building damage. This is what The Riftbreaker was all about. These are the issues that plague our first mainline Riftbreaker title. It’s a strong first entry, but it’s a small step in the right direction for a series that needs a lot of work.

The Riftbreaker – Is It A Good or Another Failed Game?
