After a supernatural event devastates the entire neighborhood, it’s up to you to discover the Disney-themed realms with your new friends and look for ways to restore the Dreamlight Valley magic.

What is Disney Dreamlight Valley?

This is a free-to-play life-simulation game created by Gameloft, featuring a cast of characters from the Pixar and Disney universe, very much similar to Square Enix’s popular RPG Kingdom Hearts.

Once a place where evil and good characters lived together in harmony, the Dreamlight Valley fell into total darkness with The Forgetting. It’s a supernatural event that plagued the entire village with Night Thorns. As a player, you enter the story as the new neighbor, ready to fight The Forgetting and discover your place in the magical community.

What’s the gameplay?

Disney’s Dreamlight Valley offers a sandbox experience along with customization options for your character, closing, and the house you live in. As the new character in town, you will help other characters in adding new furniture and landmarks to public spaces.

You can also explore different themed Realms like the snowy mountain village from Frozen and a tropical island from Moana. Every world feature Pixar and Disney heroes and villains with their story arcs and quest lines.

What’s more, you can look out for NPCs providing other fun activities. Familiar characters such as Remy and Goofy will invite you to a culinary lesson and a fishing trip, respectively.

When is the release date?

Dreamlight Valley is currently available for those who purchase the game’s Early Access version or have an Xbox Game Pass subscription. It will follow a free-to-play launch in 2023.
