Many people believed that whoever created the universe or the world is very powerful and intelligent. On the other hand, some people say that the sun, moon, nature, even the people have no beginning. People thought that there is an external and endless cycle of life, birth, and death. It continually repeats itself.

The Bible says that there was a time that the world does not exist. It was only God who exists. Thus, he decided to create the world, and that how the world started. How the world was created remains a question. There are several theories, yet none of them would clearly and unambiguously explain how the universe started. Some contradictions do not fit any theory. To help you with, we provided some list of theories for you.

  • Big Bang Theory
Most astronomers believed that the universe began about 15 billion years ago, in a huge explosion called Big Bang. This theory says that the world was a small ball that exploded and became planets and stars. George Gamow and Georges Lemaitre developed this. Partly, this theory makes sense. There is evidence that supports this, like the radiation which was detected. One of the advantages of this is that it still revealed the presence of God in the universe creation. However, there are still gaps in people’s knowledge, why the big bang happened, and how expansion happened still remains unanswered.
  • Open Universe
Edwin Hubble discovered that the galaxies in the universe are moving farther apart. This implies that the universe continuously gets bigger and bigger. However, as the galaxies collide, it may explode, and everything may vanish into a blackhole.
  • Steady State or Stationary Theory
This theory was proposed by Thomas Gold, Floyd Hoyle, and Thomas Gold in 1928. This theory suggests that there is neither start or end of the universe. In addition, it also has a constant density. The advantage of this compared to the other theories is that this is simple. This suggests that the universe is unchanging. Thus, there’s no need for more explanation. This states that the universe has already existed, and nothing has changed. This asserts that regardless of the viewpoint, the world will still look the same. This says that there’s no need for a complex explanation of how the universe began.
  • Creationist Theory
This is about God creating the world in seven days. You can see this theory on the Bible as well. However, there are no pieces of evidence found. Most Christians believed in this theory. They know that God created everything.
  • Holographic Theory
This says that the entire universe is a hologram. If this is true, then it only means that all living things are hologram as well. All other theories would be pointless if this theory is true.
  • Oscillating Theory
Paul Steinhardt developed this, stating that the world would be the last one of many originated in the past.

Various theories contradict each other. Well, in the first place, none of the theories have shared evidence in support of it. This only means that there is no proof of evolution. Scientific theories and what the Bible says are also contradicting to each other. Needless to say, it is not my intent to discredit any mentioned theories. Moreover, my perception or remarks is my general observations between the theories. As per research, the most accepted by the scientific community is the Big Bang Theory. On the other hand, the most popular theory is the theory of creation. Some say that theories are weak because of the absence of evidence. Yet, it is how people search for an answer or explanation about their questions about our environment.
