The 2021 remake Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl came from the Nintendo RP video game Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in the year 2006. The new version is part of the eighth generation of the game video series of the Pokémon series. It was developed by ILCA and is published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo. The new game is already out and was released last November 19, 2021. And it was announced as part of the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon.

What to look at on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

In the game, the original story plot is only being reproduced. Still, in these re-creations, there are vast improvements that you will surely notice, like feature-wise and graphics; it also has mini-games, new customization of character, and Pokémon hideaways.

As a Pokémon trainer all day, you can build a team while traveling the region, you can also get a Pokémon starter even in one town over; you can also fill out your Pokedex, make a challenge the leaders in the local gym, meet deities along your journey and even stop the evil organization. But the difference of the two versions of this game is that it is minimal to get a Pokémon exclusive that is unavailable in the other version.

The new game is simpler than it looks, and its turn-based system is still on, where many players can go back to more stripped-back set tools. You will also enjoy the game in the Sinnoh region which you can catch more Pokémon and train them to gain more members in the team; you can also try new Pokémons.

The Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are more interesting when it’s on the new ground, which expands the game in the underground features of the original one. It introduces a massive maze that is connected to tunnels which also has plenty of treasure that players can dig. Also, in the tunnel, you can also interact with rare Pokémons that appear in specific zones only. The players can also create their own hideaways, making it their secret base that their friends can also visit online. A cosmetic addition that players do will have an impact on the Pokémon that they will face inside the tunnel.

Unfortunately, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl fall short as it is a remake. If it is compared to the other games such as the SoulSilver and Alpha Sapphire, this new game is lacking in terms of the areas and new features to capture more players to stay. The Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are more recommended to those die-hard fans of the original. Overall, even the original game’s problems have been fixed in the new version, the new style and design are quite disappointing. But this game is still fun to play even with its little lacks.
