Visit Malibu Creek State Park

Malibu Creek State Park is one of the most popular California state parks. It is known for its warm water spring, endless stream beds, and scenic trails. It’s also one of the best places to watch the sunset, as it is conveniently located in the southwest corner of the state.

Seaside beach towns are the first-choice destination for many people around the world when they are planning to go on a holiday.  Los Angeles, or as we now call it, Malibu, has some of the best beaches in the world and being a Los Angeles local, I can tell you firsthand that it is definitely worth a trip.  Malibu Creek State Park is a beautiful beach and nature reserve, and it is located in the center of Malibu.  The park consists of about 200 acres of amazing shoreline and is full of beautiful wildflowers and lush vegetation.  The park is also home to about 80 species of birds and many other critters like deer and raccoons.  

Visit Descanso Gardens

Descanso Gardens is a beautiful park that is nestled on a hilltop overlooking Los Angeles, right next to the Los Angeles Country Club. It’s a place that resembles a rural California town with charming Victorian-style homes and gardens and ponds surround it. The main attraction is the Japanese Garden, which is a replica of a traditional Japanese garden from the 17th century. However, the garden is considered to be one of the most authentic Japanese gardens outside of Japan.

Descanso Gardens is located in La Canada Flintridge, a suburb of Los Angeles. Their main attractions are several beautiful gardens, but the organization also hosts popular events such as the Descanso Garden’s Tea, Concerts, and Holiday Celebration. The gardens are open to the public from sunrise to sunset year-round (most of which we have spent in the gardens). Descanso Gardens are known for their whimsical bits of architecture, and they usually have a stunning sunset view.

Watch at The Orpheum Theater
