1. Avocado toast with an egg in a hole

Avocado Toast is a popular chain cafe dish made from toasted bread with an egg cracked into the middle, topped with avocado and other garnishes.  I personally found it to be an interesting take on a brunch staple and decided to give it a shot for a weekend brunch.  I was pleasantly surprised that the avocado actually made the dish!

How to cook:

  • In the slightly toasted bread, cut at least a 2-inch hole in it.
  • Next is to heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a  pan in a medium heat
  • Put the bread on the pan and crack the egg in the hole you made in the bread.
  • Let it cook until the egg starts to set for two minutes
  • After it, mash half avocado and season it with a hot sauce, pepper, and salt.
  • Once done seasoning, spread it to the cooked toast around the egg.  You can also add cilantro and chopped chives.
  • Then you’re good.
