Nowadays, making decisions are being affected by the environment that mostly surrounds me. Yet, I keep myself always to choose the right one. This might seems quite simple, but in reality, it's not. When I make decisions, I always keep considering many things.

I do engage in multiple decision-making skills and other problem-solving skills. It is truly effective for me as I faced a robust process when handling this kind of situation as I try to enhance the quality of my decisions in achieving good results.

In this, I will share with you how the best ways that I have in making decisions.

Here is an ordered and logical process that helps me in making sure that I address the critical elements towards a successful outcome.

  • Always create a very constructive environment.
When I make decisions in life, one of the things I consider is the people who will get affected by it. That's why I focus first on creating a very constructive environment so I can explore more about my situation and weigh up those choices I have. Decisions are equal to responsibility. Once I made one, I know that I should be ready for the outcomes it will give to me, either good or bad.
  • Detailed Investigation of the Situation
Before I start to make decisions, I always make sure to understand my situation fully. It is an important objective that can help in making decisions because through these, I can remove those interrelated factors that seem to be useless and plain.
  • Generating the Good Alternative
Usually, I look for several different kinds of options, so, in the end, I can choose the best one. Some people might think that having lots of options can make a complicated decision. However, practicing this kind of habit make me act to come up with different alternative forces to look deeper into my problems and other situations.
Sometimes being creative leads you to a better outcome of your decisions.  I do brainstorming and list them down so I can remember all of them and pick the right one.
  • Exploration of the Option
When I became satisfied with my selected realistic alternatives, I evaluate them one by one through their risks, implications, and feasibility. Most decisions come with risks, and no one cannot remove that.
  • Selection of the Best Option
When I am done evaluating my alternatives, then it is time to make my decisions. Sometimes when I see that I have one clear alternative, then I know that other alternatives are becoming obvious too. Yet, when I encounter an option that is not completely okay, then I use tools that helps me to decide in handling those options.

These three tools (Decision Trees, Paired Comparison Analysis, and Decision Matrix Analysis) that I found are helpful and reliable.

  • Plan Evaluation
With all the hard work and effort that I have invested in selecting and evaluating alternatives, it tempts me to arrive at this stage. And now it is the time where I sense check my decision. I use my hindsight, so I can greatly identify the things that went wrong on the process, and this is far better than encountering problems in the future.
  • Communication of the Decision and Taking Action!
Once I made my decision, I do communicate with the people around me or the one who will get affected by that decision. I made this in an inspiring and engaging way. I tell them all the information together with the benefits and risks.

Though I know I have someone and people to lean on with my decisions, you can try my ways, and also, you can put your opinion on this topic in the comment section!
