  • GPS satellites have their own two atomic clocks in which it carries onboard. These clocks are guaranteed synchronized with the help of the Master Control Station. Then, each signal from the GPS satellites carry lots of information such as:
  • Precise orbit information or satellite ephemeris
  • GPS time
  • GPS Almanac: error correction, state of the constellation, and satellite identification
  • GPS signals are then transmitted in two different frequencies. The first one is the LI C/A or also called a coarse acquisition carrier. This is widely used by civilian GPS receivers. On the other hand, the L2 P/Y or also called the precise carrier is used for allied military connections, especially the United States. Both of these frequencies have their own and transmit a pseudo-random noise or unique PRN code to each satellite. Another thing, this PRN code that comes from multiple satellites is used to determine positions and received by the GPS.

Using GPS provides a lot of benefits, aside from a faster and convenient connection. Mainly, its goal and purpose are to establish an effective means of acquiring and disseminating information to any part of the world. With this, any information can be spread out within a matter of seconds or minutes, depending on the distance between the sender and receiver. However, this is not all of that. GPS can also help in other ways, such as in navigation.

As a result, it helped in a faster way of getting and sending a passenger from one place to another. Another thing, GPS can also help in navigating lost people or products.
